Hello Rhode Island Gymnastics let me congratulate you on a very successful optional season. Here is the 2011 Summer schedule for kids who plan to train the Tops/Hopes/Elite program with USA-Gymnasics in Rhode Island.

Hopes/Elite qualifier
2nd -6th - National Elite qualifier, Orlando, FL

16th - RGA, NY
29th - Riverside, NY
30th - Aim High, RI (Final testing date for the region)

28th -31st -
Tops Invitational Training Camp, National Training Center, TX
Attending from Rhode Island is Allie Carlsten (Qualified because of making National camp last Tops season)

Hopes/Elite competition dates
21st -23rd - Covergirl Classic/US Challenge,Chicago, Ill. ( Gymnasts qualify to this competition through qualifiers and from this event the athlete goes to USA Championships)

Congratulations to Alysse Pazienza, New Generation Gymnastics and Mallory Moreau, OSSG on a great job at USAG Level 9 Eastern Championships!!

 

Alysse competed in the Senior 4 age group scoring a 9.05 on Vault, 8.925 on Bars (9th), 8.25 on Beam, 9.1 on Floor(8th) and a 35.325 in the All Around for 14th Place. Great Job Alysse!

 

Mallory competed in the Senior 6 age group scoring a 9.0 on Vault, 9.175 on Bars (3rd), 8.875 on Beam, 8.625 on Floor and a 35.675 in the All Around for 2nd Place. Great Job Mallory!

Congratulations to Dylan McSparren for making the 10 year old National Developmental Team.  Dylan competed in Colorado, November 13th.  Dylan trains at Aim High with Tristan Heuvelman.

Jessica March, Level 6, Moira Lyons, Level 9 and Taylor Worthington from Aim High.  These young ladies have qualified to TOPs National Testing.  Good Luck ladies.

 

Dylan McSparren and Aidan Cuy are participating in the USA Gymnastics Future Stars Program.  They will attend Future Stars regional testing on October 10th in Massachusetts in anticipation of qualifying to National Championships in Colorado in November.

 

 

Effective January 1, 2009 the rate for mileage reimbursement for judges is $ .55/mile to reflect the recent change in the IRS standard mileage rate for 2009.
